The Opportunity

FourQuarters has been exclusively retained to appoint a Business Development Manager on behalf of a leading Australian non-bank lender and alternative asset manager. With approximately $30 billion in AUM across private credit, fixed income, and capital markets, this is a business with an outstanding market reputation, a strong institutional investor base, and a clear growth agenda across its real estate lending division.

About the Role

Reporting to the Lead Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving profitable lending growth across the firm's residential and commercial real estate product suite.

You will own a portfolio of broker relationships, originate new lending opportunities, and work closely with credit, underwriting, and operations teams to progress quality transactions from application to settlement.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive new loan origination across the full suite of real estate lending products
• Act as the primary point of contact for broker partners, building and maintaining long‑term, productive relationships
• Provide product education, credit guidance, and deal structuring support to brokers
• Manage pipeline quality, conversion rates, and forecasting accuracy
• Grow the number and productivity of active brokers within your portfolio
• Work closely with credit and underwriting teams to ensure submission quality and policy alignment
• Stay informed on competitor offerings, market trends, and opportunities
• Ensure full compliance with regulatory, policy, and responsible lending standards

About You

• Proven track record in loan origination within a non-bank or bank lending environment, with consistent, high-quality settlement volumes
• Established network of active mortgage brokers with strong engagement and repeat business outcomes
• Sound knowledge of residential and commercial credit policy and responsible lending obligations
• Demonstrated ability to structure complex lending solutions
• Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills
• Commercially driven, adaptable, and comfortable working under pressure
• Bachelor's degree preferred; proficiency across Microsoft suite (Power BI advantageous)
