CANDII is seeking a Business Development Manager to own the full new-business cycle across air, sea and road freight for a global forwarder. Based in Perth, you’ll build the pipeline, qualify leads, create proposals and close deals, with a strong commission and a $20k car allowance.
You’ll travel to meet clients, enjoy a supportive team, and operate with minimal activity KPIs while leveraging a global network for sustained growth.
Own the full new-business cycle across air, sea and road for a global forwarder. $90k-$150k + super + $20k car allowance. No activity KPIs.
A privately held international freight forwarder that started in 2004 as a small Australian operation and has grown into a genuinely global business - more than 100 people across ten offices worldwide, moving air, sea, road, customs and warehousing for clients in building and infrastructure, FMCG, food and beverage, electronics, and textiles and footwear.
IATA, FIATA and IFCBAA accredited, and an Australian Trusted Trader.
Big enough that the network behind your quote is real; small enough that you'll know the national sales manager and the CFO by name - you'll meet both during the interview process.
The Perth office is a tight team of two to four in Subiaco, which means visibility and very little noise.
You'll own the full new-business cycle - finding the lead, creating the opportunity, converting it, and growing the account from there.
The business currently moves mining, agricultural and energy freight alongside general consumer goods. There's no project logistics arm at present, so if that's where your network sits, there's an open door to bring it in and make it yours.
Systems: HubSpot CRM (no prior experience needed) and CargoWise (previous experience preferred).
Most forwarders of this size will hand you a patch and a set of activity metrics. This one gives you a global network, no KPI dashboard, an open brief on project cargo, and a commission structure that keeps paying on the accounts you win for two years after you win them.
It's also a business people stay at. They're not looking for someone to fill a seat for eighteen months - they're looking for the person who grows with the Perth operation.
Four straightforward conversations: the Branch Manager, then the National Sales Manager, then a phone or Teams chat with the CFO, then an offer.
