Central Telecoms is hiring a Business Development Manager for the Central Coast, NSW. You will be out in the field, meeting local business owners and decision-makers, building relationships and closing new business.
You’ll target a minimum of 200 face-to-face visits per month, develop a strong sales pipeline, and record all activities in HubSpot CRM. A driver’s license and strong communication skills are essential.
Are you a natural salesperson who loves meeting people, building relationships and winning new business?
Central Telecoms is growing, and we’re looking for ambitious, energetic and driven Business Development Managers to join our expanding team.
We’re an Australian-owned telecommunications provider that does things differently. We believe business customers deserve genuine local service, straightforward advice and technology that just works.
We’re not a faceless telco with offshore call centres. We’re a passionate, close-knit team of local people who care about our customers and each other.
Now we’re looking for the right people to help us take our business to the next level.
Uncapped commission – Your earning potential is in your hands, with top performers earning over $120,000 per year.
Fully expensed company vehicle or vehicle allowance – Get out and meet customers without worrying about the cost of being on the road.
Fantastic incentive trips – Enjoy team reward trips to destinations such as Fiji, Port Douglas, and Byron Bay.
Real career progression – We’re expanding across regional NSW, creating genuine opportunities for ambitious people to grow with us.
A great team culture – Work with supportive, down-to-earth people who celebrate success and genuinely enjoy working together.
Freedom and autonomy – Run your territory like your own business, backed by an experienced team.
Products businesses actually need – Sell reliable NBN, business phone systems, mobiles, cybersecurity and other essential business technology.
This is a proactive, face-to-face field sales role. You’ll spend most of your time out in your territory, meeting local business owners and decision-makers, identifying opportunities and building relationships.
Your responsibilities will include:
Proactively visiting local businesses to introduce Central Telecoms and our services.
Completing a minimum of 200 face-to-face business prospecting visits per month, adjusted proportionately for approved leave, public holidays and training.
Developing your own sales pipeline through prospecting, referrals, networking and follow-up.
Understanding customer needs and recommending suitable solutions.
Preparing proposals, negotiating, and closing new business.
Managing your territory and accurately recording sales activities, opportunities and follow-ups in HubSpot CRM.
Building long-term customer relationships and representing Central Telecoms professionally in the local community.
This is not a desk-based account management role. We’re looking for someone who enjoys getting out, meeting new people and creating their own opportunities.
We’re more interested in your attitude, drive and people skills than your technical knowledge. You’ll ideally have:
Proven experience in B2B sales, business development or a similar customer-facing sales role.
Confidence approaching new businesses and starting conversations.
A genuine enjoyment of face-to-face selling and building relationships.
Strong communication, listening and negotiation skills.
Resilience, discipline, and motivation to prospect consistently.
Good organisational skills and the ability to manage your own territory and pipeline.
A current driver’s licence.
A positive attitude and willingness to be part of a growing, supportive team.
Previous telecommunications or IT experience is an advantage, but not essential. We’ll teach you our products and systems.
What we can’t teach is enthusiasm, integrity, determination and a genuine desire to succeed.
Our vision is simple - To Be Australia’s Most Trusted Telco Partner.
Our values are:
Real Service – Fast. Human. Reliable.
Real Locals – Local people supporting local business.
Real Progress – Automate. Innovate. Optimise.
Real Team – One In, All In.
We’re a growing business with big ambitions, but we’re determined to maintain the culture and personal service that got us here.
If you want to be just another salesperson in a large corporation, we’re probably not for you.
But if you want to be part of a business where we notice your contribution, celebrate your success, and help your career genuinely grow, we’d love to hear from you.
