Salexo Consulting is seeking a Business Development Manager to strengthen its Victorian sales team in the architectural façade market. You will develop relationships with architects, builders and developers, identify early opportunities and drive project-winning conversations from design through delivery.
The role offers autonomy to own the Victorian territory, supported by an established product line, internal technical support and a clear path to grow market presence with a competitive
A great opportunity for someone who understands the construction industry, enjoys developing relationships and wants to play a role in shaping projects from the early design stages through to delivery.
I'm representing a specialist supplier within the architectural façade market that is looking to strengthen its Victorian sales team with the appointment of a Business Development Manager.
The business has established a strong position in the supply of architectural aluminium cladding solutions, working across a diverse range of building projects. With an established product offering and internal technical support, the opportunity is to take ownership of the Victorian territory, develop new relationships and build on the company's existing market presence.
What makes this position interesting is the exposure to both the architectural and construction communities. You'll be working with architects and designers influencing product selections, while also developing commercial relationships with builders, developers and specialist contractors.
This is an externally focused position for someone who enjoys being out in the market, building relationships and identifying opportunities.
You'll be responsible for developing your Victorian territory, understanding upcoming projects and getting in front of the people who influence product selection and purchasing decisions.
There is a good balance between developing new business and strengthening existing industry relationships. Behind the sales function is an experienced internal team that can assist with technical enquiries, project requirements and the practical considerations involved in progressing opportunities.
I'm interested in speaking with people who have developed their careers within architectural products, construction materials or the broader building industry.
You may currently be selling façade systems, aluminium products, fibre cement, commercial roofing, glazing, windows and doors, waterproofing or other technical building materials.
Alternatively, you might have developed your experience in a technical, project or construction-based position and be looking to take that knowledge into a more commercially focused role.
You don't necessarily need to have sold aluminium cladding before. What's important is your ability to understand technical products, communicate their value and build credibility with architects, builders and other construction professionals.
The business offers an established product range, a stable operating platform and the opportunity to develop a significant network across Victoria's architectural and construction markets.
I'm David Hamilton, a Registered Architect (NSW 11571) who transitioned from architectural practice into specialist recruitment across the architecture, design and construction industries.
Having worked on the architectural side of the industry, I understand the importance of product knowledge, technical credibility and the relationships that influence building projects.
Through Salexo Consulting, I bring that industry understanding into the recruitment process, helping businesses identify people who can contribute beyond simply achieving a sales target.
Whether you're currently selling architectural products, working within the construction industry or considering a move from a technical role into business development, I'd be interested in hearing about your experience.
