Job summary

VERVE Fitness Pty Ltd. in Upper Coomera is seeking a Business Development Manager to own new business targets, build a self-generated pipeline, and close deals by phone. You’ll manage leads in HubSpot, work on-site, and drive growth through outbound prospecting across gyms, studios, schools, and corporate sectors.

You will report to the Head of Sales, earn $160K+ OTE with uncapped upside, and join a fast-growing team delivering gym equipment and soon US expansion.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in B2B sales with a documented record of meeting or beating targets.

• Clear writer and speaker who nurtures customers after the sale.

Responsibilities

We need hunters. People who find the deal, open the door on the phone and close it.

VERVE Fitness is one of Australia's fastest growing commercial and home gym equipment brands, profitable and targeting $150M within four years. Since 2017 we've fitted out thousands of commercial gyms and home setups across Australia. Over the next few months we launch VERVE Pulse, our gym software, as a standalone product and open in the United States from Dallas. Hitting those numbers takes more new business than inbound enquiries will ever bring us. That's why this seat exists.

We're looking for a Business Development Manager in Upper Coomera who prospects by phone, builds their own pipeline and closes it.

WHAT YOU'LL OWN

You'll own a new business target and the pipeline that feeds it. Most of your day is on the phone: researching gyms, studios, schools, corporate and residential buyers, finding the person who signs, opening the conversation and turning it into an order. You build your own lead lists, work them in HubSpot, and keep every deal moving until it lands. Inbound enquiries come in too, and they're earned: the more sales you generate, the more inbound leads you get access to. Once a customer buys, you look after them and keep them buying.

WHERE THIS SITS

You report to our Head of Sales and sit in our sales team at the Upper Coomera office, full time Monday to Friday. Occasional weekend work may be required. Our customer service and logistics crew look after delivery and installation, so you can stay on the phone and selling. If you need leads handed to you to hit your number, this isn't the role.

MUST HAVES

• 2+ years in B2B sales with a documented record of hitting or beating target
• New business experience: you've found your own leads and closed them
• You cold call every day without needing to be pushed
• Clear writer and speaker who looks after customers after the sale
• Confident with a CRM, MS Office and AI tools like Claude or ChatGPT
• Able to work on site at Upper Coomera
• Enough understanding of gym equipment to be able to sell it effectively after initial training
