Junior Business Development Manager - Funds Management

Our client is a global fund manager with over $600b in AUM with offices across Australia, Asia, Europe and North America. Our client offers multiple fund strategies across all asset classes.

About the role

You will be a part of a professional, hard-working and intelligent team. You will work alongside and be mentored by the Executive Director in Melbourne. You will be responsible for promoting the company's investment philosophy, portfolio construction beliefs, and investment products (wholesale and retail) to prospective institutional investors, financial advisers, and family offices.

• Undertakes and manages over the phone and in-person outbound sales campaigns and email campaigns as directed by the Regional Sales Manager.
• Assists in the preparation and presentation of workshops, professional development days, events and seminars, and other intermediary events as required.
• Assisting with budget planning and tracking, monitoring of fund flows for the state.
• Assisting regional managers with various reporting, meeting preparation and follow-up including competitor analysis.

Skills & experience

• Undergraduate degree in a finance related field or equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Financial services experience preferably in funds management.
• Good working knowledge of investment management industry, markets and a broad understanding of the funds management environment is essential.
• Good understanding of multiple asset classes.
• Presentable and articulate.
• Experience using Morningstar Direct (highly desired).
