Job summary

Conquest Recruitment Group is partnering with a global industrial business to recruit an experienced Business Development Manager to grow long-term service and maintenance across industrial products in SA/NT.

In this remote/field-based role, you will win new business (about 70%) and manage key accounts (30%), with regular in-office collaboration to build relationships with the ops team.

Qualifications

• Prior business development experience with a hunter mentality.
• Solution-selling background with the ability to build a commercial case.
• Self-starter who thrives with autonomy in a remote/field-based role, with regular office engagement.
• Strong organizational, analytical and communication skills; proficient with SAP, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Willingness to travel across the SA/NT territory.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new service and maintenance opportunities using our client's product range and service capability.
• Roll out service and spares programs, signing new service contracts and converting customers onto long-term maintenance plans.
• Build and manage key accounts, proactively targeting additional service work with local service managers.
• Gain customer feedback to drive satisfaction and retention, in line with the company's targets.
• Provide regular reporting to management and support Customer Service Managers, Sales Specialists and internal teams.

About The Role

Grow long-term service and maintenance business across industrial products in your territory - SA / NT. This is a newly refreshed BDM role focused on long-term service agreements, where roughly 70% of your time is spent winning new business and 30% on managing and growing key accounts.

What You'll Do

• Identify and develop new service and maintenance opportunities using our client's product range and service capability

What We're Looking For

• Prior business development experience with a genuine hunter mentality
• A solution-selling background and comfortable building a commercial case, not just a technical one
• Self-starter who thrives with autonomy in a remote/field-based role, balanced with a willingness to be in the office regularly to build relationships with the ops team
• Strong organisational, analytical and communication skills; PC literate (SAP, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Willingness to travel across the territory as required
