Job summary

ASC is seeking a Business Design Lead to shape and deliver enterprise-wide transformation initiatives. Reporting to the Business Design Manager, you will lead a team of Business Analysts and partner with stakeholders to design future-state processes and drive change across ASC.

You will combine hands-on business design with people leadership, shaping how ASC evolves processes, capabilities and ways of working to deliver lasting value in a dynamic transformation environment.

Qualifications

• This role requires significant experience in business analysis, process design or transformation delivery within complex environments.
• Experience leading and coaching high-performing teams.
• Strong ability to engage with diverse stakeholders and translate requirements into solutions.

About the Opportunity

The Transformation Office is seeking a Business Design Lead to play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering enterprise-wide transformation initiatives across ASC. Reporting to the Business Design Manager, you will lead a team of Business Analysts and partner with stakeholders across the organisation to analyse complex business challenges, design future-state solutions, and drive meaningful change outcomes.

This role combines hands‑on business design expertise with people leadership responsibilities, providing the opportunity to influence high‑impact programs that support ASC's strategic objectives. Working in a dynamic transformation environment, you'll help define how ASC evolves its processes, capabilities and ways of working to deliver lasting business value.

Responsibilities

• Lead business analysis and business process design activities across major transformation programs and projects.
• Manage and mentor a team of Business Analysts and Super Users to deliver high-quality business design outcomes.
• Facilitate workshops and stakeholder engagements to identify, analyse and document business requirements.
• Develop business cases, process maps, capability models, customer journeys, user stories and benefits frameworks.
• Translate complex business challenges into practical, scalable solutions aligned with strategic objectives.
• Partner with Program Managers, Change Managers, Enterprise Architects and business stakeholders to support successful transformation delivery.
• Champion continuous improvement in business design methodologies, tools and practices across the Transformation Office.

About you

• Significant experience in business analysis, business process design, process improvement or transformation delivery within complex environments.
• Previous people leadership experience with the ability to coach, develop and inspire high-performing teams.
• Strong expertise in business process modelling, capability mapping and requirements definition.
• Demonstrated ability to engage, influence and build strong relationships with diverse stakeholder groups.
• Excellent facilitation, communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to simplify complex issues.
• Strong organisational change management knowledge and experience supporting large-scale business transformation.
• Qualifications or certifications in Business Analysis, Lean, Six Sigma, Business, or a related discipline will be highly regarded.

This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
