Job summary

Impact North is seeking a dedicated Business Builder Lead to drive the flagship program supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander entrepreneurs. You will coordinate tailored support, ensuring entrepreneurs retain ownership of decisions and grow sustainable businesses.

You will report to the Director, Impact & Innovation, manage operations, collaborate with partners, and deliver activities across Darwin and remote communities, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• At least three years' experience working with remote Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and entrepreneur-support programs.
• Demonstrated experience leading programs or service delivery.
• A current Working with Children Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and continuously improve Impact North's Business Builder program.
• Work directly with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander entrepreneurs to understand goals and coordinate support.
• Manage program operations, coordinate facilitators and partners, and deliver activities in Darwin and remote communities.

About Impact North

Impact North is an Aboriginal-controlled not-for-profit supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander entrepreneurs and businesses across Northern Australia. Many of the businesses we work with create local jobs and contribute directly to the economic development of their communities.

The role

As Business Builder Lead, you'll be responsible for delivering and improving the program. You'll work directly with entrepreneurs to understand their goals and coordinate the support they choose, so that ownership of business decisions stays with them. Reporting to the Director, Impact & Innovation, you'll manage program operations, work with facilitators and partners, and deliver activities in Darwin and in remote communities.

About you

You have strong relationship and facilitation skills and a record of delivering complex programs well. You're comfortable working independently and as part of a small team, and you're willing to travel to remote communities.

What you need

• At least three years' experience working with remote Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, entrepreneur-support programs, community development or a related field
• Demonstrated experience leading programs or service delivery
• A current Working with Children Clearance
