Equity Trustees Ltd. in Sydney seeks a Business Assurance Officer to strengthen the risk, governance and quality culture across the Trustee & Wealth Services division.

You will drive QA programs, conduct reviews, and provide insights to improve client outcomes and operational performance. You’ll collaborate with risk, compliance and internal audit teams, support remediation activities, and help implement policies and quality frameworks.

Formación

• Experience in financial services risk, compliance, governance, audit or quality assurance.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret data, identify trends and provide insights.
• Experience undertaking QA activities, reviews and reporting.
• Knowledge of financial services regulatory requirements and the environment.

Responsabilidades

• Manage and support the TWS Quality Assurance Program and QA Plan.
• Conduct quality reviews, control testing and thematic reviews.
• Monitor incidents, complaints and audit findings to identify trends and improvements.
• Assist remediation activities and strengthen operational controls.
• Prepare reporting and insights for management committees and senior leaders.
• Support risk, compliance and governance activities across TWS.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the business, Enterprise Risk and Internal Audit functions.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance client, risk and operational outcomes.
• Support the development and implementation of policies, procedures and quality frameworks.

Working closely with the Senior Manager, Professional Standards, you'll help drive quality assurance activities, identify opportunities for continuous improvement, support audit and compliance initiatives and provide valuable insights that strengthen operational performance and client outcomes.

What you'll do:

• Managing and supporting the TWS Quality Assurance Program and annual QA Plan
• Conducting quality reviews, control effectiveness testing and thematic reviews across the business
• Monitoring incidents, complaints and audit findings to identify trends and improvement opportunities
• Assisting with remediation activities and strengthening operational controls
• Preparing reporting and insights for management committees and senior leaders
• Supporting risk, compliance and governance activities across TWS
• Collaborating with stakeholders across the business, Enterprise Risk and Internal Audit functions
• Contributing to process improvement initiatives that enhance client, risk and operational outcomes
• Supporting the development and implementation of policies, procedures and quality frameworks

What you'll need to succeed:

You'll bring experience in risk, compliance, quality assurance, governance or audit within a financial services environment and enjoy working with stakeholders to improve processes and outcomes.

We're looking for someone who has:

• Experience in financial services, ideally within risk, compliance, governance, audit or quality assurance
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data, identify trends and provide meaningful insights
• Experience undertaking quality assurance activities, reviews and related reporting
• Knowledge of financial services regulatory requirements and the broader regulatory environment
