Job summary

Equity Trustees is seeking a Business Assurance Officer to strengthen our risk, governance and quality framework within the Trustee & Wealth Services division. You will partner with the Senior Manager, Professional Standards to drive QA, identify improvement opportunities and support audit and compliance initiatives.

In this collaborative role, you’ll monitor incidents, lead reviews, prepare reporting for management, and help embed quality frameworks across the business.

Qualifications

• Experience in risk, compliance, governance or audit within a financial services environment.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends and provide insights.
• Experience undertaking quality assurance activities, reviews and related reporting.

Responsibilities

• Managing and supporting the TWS Quality Assurance Program and annual QA Plan
• Conducting quality reviews, control effectiveness testing and thematic reviews across the business
• Monitoring incidents, complaints and audit findings to identify trends and improvement opportunities
• Assisting with remediation activities and strengthening operational controls
• Preparing reporting and insights for management committees and senior leaders
• Supporting risk, compliance and governance activities across TWS
• Collaborating with stakeholders across the business, Enterprise Risk and Internal Audit functions
• Contributing to process improvement initiatives that enhance client, risk and operational outcomes
• Supporting the development and implementation of policies, procedures and quality frameworks

Working closely with the Senior Manager, Professional Standards, you'll help drive quality assurance activities, identify opportunities for continuous improvement, support audit and compliance initiatives and provide valuable insights that strengthen operational performance and client outcomes.

What You'll Do

What you’ll need to succeed:

You'll bring experience in risk, compliance, quality assurance, governance or audit within a financial services environment and enjoy working with stakeholders to improve processes and outcomes.

We're Looking For Someone Who Has

• Experience in financial services, ideally within risk, compliance, governance, audit or quality assurance
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data, identify trends and provide meaningful insights
• Experience undertaking quality assurance activities, reviews and related reporting
• Knowledge of financial services regulatory requirements and the broader regulatory environment
