Projects Assured is a Canberra-based consultancy delivering strategic expertise in Management Advisory, Capability Management, and IT Services. We are expanding our team of Business Analysts to work on Federal Government programs across Defence, National Security and Government clients.

You will partner with stakeholders, project managers, architects, developers and testers to translate needs into actionable outcomes, driving transformation initiatives with a collaborative, professional team.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Business Analyst in Federal Government, Defence or complex enterprise environments
• Strong stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills
• Experience with process modelling and improvement initiatives
• Experience with requirements elicitation and management
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps or similar tools

The Opportunity

We are looking for Business Analysts with strong stakeholder engagement skills and a proven ability to translate business needs into practical, achievable outcomes.

Working within multidisciplinary project teams, you will partner with business stakeholders, project managers, architects, developers, and testing teams to help shape and deliver successful transformation initiatives.

Our current demand includes opportunities supporting major Federal Government programs, with future consulting opportunities across a broad range of Defence, National Security, and Government clients.

What You'll Be Doing

• Leading business analysis activities across complex projects and programs
• Facilitating workshops and stakeholder engagement sessions
• Eliciting, analysing and documenting business requirements
• Developing business, functional and non-functional requirements
• Creating user stories, business rules and process maps
• Producing BPMN models and business process documentation
• Supporting solution design and requirements traceability
• Contributing to business case development and benefits realisation activities
• Working collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Supporting continuous improvement and transformation initiatives

What We're Looking For

We're interested in hearing from Business Analysts who bring a combination of consulting capability, stakeholder engagement expertise, and structured analysis skills.

You'll ideally have experience in:

• Business analysis within Federal Government, Defence, National Security or complex enterprise environments
• Business process modelling and process improvement initiatives
• Requirements elicitation, analysis and management
• Stakeholder engagement and facilitation
• Agile, Waterfall or hybrid delivery environments
• Business modelling and business situation analysis
• Benefits identification and measurement
• User experience analysis and service improvement initiatives
• Data modelling or information analysis activities
• Azure DevOps or similar requirements management tools

Desirable Certifications

We welcome candidates with recognised Business Analysis qualifications, including:

• BABOK aligned certifications
• BA-Cube certifications
• BPMN training and certification
• Other equivalent Business Analysis certifications and training

Security Requirements

To be considered, candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting 1 (NV1) Security Clearance.
