Job summary

Minter Ellison is seeking a Business Analyst Manager to lead a small team of functional Business Analysts and shape the quality of requirements and solution design across large projects and BAU initiatives. You will bridge business value and technical execution, oversee the analysis pipeline, allocate work, and guide BA work from discovery through to deployment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years' experience in complex corporate or professional services environments.
• Strong expertise in complex Finance/ERP systems (Elite 3E or Aderant Expert preferred).
• Proven experience as a BA Lead on large, complex projects, including planning and scheduling.
• Experience analysing requirements and user stories and writing specifications for robust, scalable solutions.
• Experience collaborating with business and development teams to assess feasibility and translate knowledge between them.
• Understanding of project delivery, SDLC and agile/hybrid approaches.
• Data-driven mindset with ability to use SQL to answer basic questions, and familiarity with AI tools in BA work.

• Run requirements workshops and produce clear, complete, testable business and functional requirements
• Critically evaluate solution design options to reduce complexity and ensure fit

• Turn the work pipeline into coordinated analysis and development plans, balancing capacity and sequencing
• Coordinate run sheets and lead the team through deployment of changes
• Continuously improve and automate how the team works, with focus on agility, consistency and clarity
• Embed the responsible use of AI tools across the team and coach analysts to use them well
• Keep the Head of Business Systems informed through regular status meetings and ad hoc updates

Minter Ellison's Business Systems team gets the most from the firm's investment in Elite 3E (ERP) and our other Finance and firm-specific systems and integrations. We're looking for a Business Analyst Manager to lead a small team of functional Business Analysts and shape the quality of requirements and solution design across large projects and BAU initiatives.You'll be the bridge between business value and technical execution. You'll oversee the analysis pipeline, allocate work and lead business analysis on major projects, from discovery and requirements through to solution design and implementation. You'll work closely with the Head of Business Systems, Finance, and the Digital Support, Data and Development managers.

About you

• Strong expertise in complex Finance/ERP systems, including processes, integrations and dependencies (experience with Elite 3E or Aderant Expert is highly regarded)
• 7+ years' experience in complex corporate or professional services environments, with a good grasp of commercial drivers
• Proven experience as a Business Analyst Lead on large, complex projects, including planning, estimating and scheduling
• Significant experience analysing requirements and user stories and writing specifications for robust, scalable solutions
• Experience working closely with both business and development teams to assess feasibility and translate knowledge between them
• A sound understanding of project delivery, the software development life cycle and product management principles, with exposure to waterfall, agile and hybrid approaches
• A data-driven mindset, including the ability to use SQL to answer basic questions
• Practical experience using AI assistants to support Business Analysis work through repeatable, consistent processes
