Job summary

Bolton Clarke Careers in Sydney North Shore NSW seeks a Business Analyst to focus on remuneration under enterprise agreements and modern awards, ensuring compliance and delivering data-driven insights to support fair pay practices across the organisation.

You will support commercial and operational reporting, collaborate with Payroll, HR and People & Culture, and contribute to policy development and remuneration initiatives in a large not-for-profit aged care group.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or equivalent.
• Experience as a Business Analyst or Remuneration and Benefits role in a large organisation.
• Advanced data and analytics skills including Excel.
• Experience interpreting Enterprise Bargaining Agreements, Awards, and legislation.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with minimum award and enterprise agreement rate obligations, including accurate application of rate increases and adjustments.
• Provide Commercial/Operational reporting and analysis support including forecast, budget and other analyses as requested.
• Manage and monitor allowance processes in line with business needs, ensuring competitiveness and compliance with enterprise agreements.
• Manage and monitor over-award pay rates to ensure consistency and compliance with organisational policies and industry standards.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with Payroll, HR, and People & Culture Business Partners to ensure accurate and efficient remuneration processes.
• Provide various scenario costing for any changes with minimum award or enterprise agreement.
• Assist in the development of remuneration policies and procedures that align with best practices and organisational objectives.
• Perform regular audits and analyses of remuneration practices to ensure they align with industry standards and legislative requirements.

About the role

As a part of our Commercial team, the Business Analyst plays a key role in focusing on enterprise agreements and modern award classifications and rates of pay, ensuring compliance with remuneration obligations, providing data-driven insights, and assisting in the analysis and implementation of remuneration initiatives to support a fair and equitable workplace in line with legislation and organisational goals.

Additionally, the position contributes to commercial and operational reporting and supports the broader team with analytical tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with minimum award and enterprise agreement rate obligations, including accurate application of rate increases and adjustments.

About you

To be successful in this role you will have:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a Business Analyst role or Remuneration and Benefits role with reporting and analytical experience within a large and complex organisation
• Advanced data and analytic skills including advanced experience with MS Excel
• Demonstrated experience interpreting Enterprise Bargaining Agreements, Awards, and legislation is preferrable
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
