Job summary

Our client is an established auto body manufacturer and aftersales service provider. They are seeking an experienced Spray Painter to join a busy after-sales workshop, focusing on buses and large vehicles.

The role offers a permanent, full-time position with Monday to Friday hours and competitive EBA rates. The successful candidate will have spray painting experience on buses/coaches, a relevant trade qualification, and strong knowledge of paint prep, masking, priming and finishing techniques.

Qualifications

• Experience as Spray Painter, ideally on buses/coaches/heavy vehicles/trucks or commercial vehicle repairs.
• Trade qualification in Automotive Refinishing, Spray Painting or similar.
• Knowledge of paint preparation, masking, priming and finishing techniques.
• Experience performing repairs, touch-ups and full resprays on large vehicles.
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a workshop team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for painting, including sanding, masking and priming.
• Apply paint finishes to buses, coaches and vehicle components.
• Perform touch-ups, repairs and refinishing work.
• Maintain painting equipment and keep the work area clean and organized.
• Work closely with panel beaters, mechanics and the wider workshop team.
• Assist with bus refurbishment, repair and after-sales maintenance projects.
