Job summary
Arriva London is seeking an experienced engineer to maintain and repair buses to high standards across our fleet. You will perform planned and preventative maintenance, fault diagnosis, and reactive repairs in a busy environment.
You'll ensure servicing and inspections meet Arriva and DVSA standards, assist with MOT preparation, and contribute to reliability improvements. Flexible shifts supporting a healthy work‑life balance are available.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on maintenance experience or equivalent
- NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in vehicle maintenance
- PCV license preferred or willingness to obtain one
- Full UK Driving License with no more than 6 points
- Medical fitness to pass a PCV pre-employment medical
Responsibilities
- Perform planned and preventative maintenance, fault diagnosis and reactive repairs on a fleet of buses
- Ensure servicing, inspections and repairs meet Arriva and DVSA standards
- Assist with MOT preparation, preventative maintenance campaigns and quality checks
- Improve bus reliability through monitoring, maintenance and repair
- Support flexible shift patterns to suit lifestyle
