Transdev John Holland Buses NSW is seeking a qualified mechanic to maintain and repair buses for Sydney’s busy fleet, including involvement in the transition to electric vehicle technology.

The role is based at Randwick Depot with day, mid, and afternoon shifts. You will perform servicing, diagnostics, road tests and keep accurate records while mentoring junior staff and supporting a safety-first environment.

Formación

• Current NSW MVTC Motor Mechanic Trade Certificate (essential).
• TAFE Certificate III in Heavy Vehicle Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology (essential).
• Current HR Driver Licence, or ability to obtain one.
• Strong computer literacy and ability to maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Experience supervising or mentoring apprentices and trade assistants.
• Experience using diagnostic scan tools (desirable).
• Experience in bus maintenance and public transport operations (desirable).

Responsabilidades

• Repair, service and maintain buses in accordance with regulatory and fleet standards.
• Diagnose and repair vehicle faults and defects.
• Conduct road tests following repairs and maintenance activities.
• Attend vehicle breakdowns both on-site and in the field when required.
• Complete maintenance records accurately using computer-based systems.
• Support and assist in the training and development of apprentices and trade assistants.
• Work collaboratively within a safety-focused team environment.
• Contribute to fleet reliability and operational performance through proactive maintenance practices.
