Job summary

MannaCare in Manningham seeks a reliable Bus Driver to join our not-for-profit aged care team on a casual basis. You will provide safe transport for residents, clients and carers to outings, activities and events, helping them board and exit the vehicle and keeping the bus clean and roadworthy.

We value compassionate, customer‑focused individuals with a Victorian LR licence and Taxi Driver Certificate, plus experience with older people.

Qualifications

• Current Victorian Light Rigid (LR) licence required.
• Current Taxi Driver Certificate required.
• Experience with older people or in aged care desirable.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Safe and responsible driving and passenger transport approach.
• Ability to assist passengers safely with boarding and disembarking.
• Good record-keeping skills and ability to complete vehicle safety checks.
• Ability to follow directions, policies and regulatory requirements.
• Current NDIS Screening Check or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and comfortable transport for residents, clients and carers to outings, activities and events.

Job description

We are a highly regarded not-for-profit, values-based organisation, offering residential, community and in-home aged care for over 30 years, to older people living in and around the city of Manningham.

We are seeking a reliable and caring Bus Driver to join the MannaCare team on a casual basis.

The Bus Driver will provide safe and comfortable transport for residents, clients and carers, supporting them to attend outings, activities and other planned events. You will also assist residents with safely boarding and exiting the vehicle and ensure the bus is clean, safe and roadworthy.

About You

• Current Victorian Light Rigid (LR) driver’s licence
• Current Taxi Driver Certificate
• Previous experience working with older people or in aged care is desirable
• Strong communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
• Safe and responsible approach to driving and passenger transport
• Ability to assist passengers safely with boarding and disembarking
• Good record-keeping skills and ability to complete vehicle safety and compliance checks
• Ability to follow directions, policies and regulatory requirements
