Job summary

Bene Aged Care is seeking a compassionate Driver - Mini Bus (8-10 Seater) to join our Community Services team on a casual basis across metropolitan Adelaide. The role transports clients to appointments, activities and outings while ensuring safety and high-quality customer service.

Roster is Monday to Friday with consistent hours, offering meaningful work within a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to supporting older people and their independence.

Qualifications

• Current unrestricted South Australian Driver's Licence.
• Demonstrated safe driving record.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate an 8-10 seater minibus across metropolitan Adelaide.
• Transport clients to appointments, centre-based activities and social outings.
• Assist clients to safely enter and exit the vehicle where required.
• Support older people to maintain independence and social connections.
• Complete vehicle safety checks and maintain vehicle cleanliness.
• Follow client support plans and organisational procedures.
• Maintain accurate records and incident reporting documentation.
• Liaise with coordinators regarding transport schedules and client requirements.

About the Role

Bene Aged Care is seeking a compassionate and reliable Driver - Mini Bus (8-10 Seater) to join our Community Services team on a casual basis across metropolitan Adelaide.

This rewarding role supports older people to maintain their independence and social connections by providing safe and reliable transport to appointments, centre-based activities and community outings.

You will be responsible for operating a Bene mini bus, ensuring passengers are transported safely, comfortably and respectfully while delivering exceptional customer service.

Roster: Monday to Friday, 21.5 hours per week. Morning transport runs from 8:30am to 10:30am (Monday & Friday) and 8:30am to 11:00am (Tuesday to Thursday), with afternoon transport runs from 2:00pm to 4:00pm each weekday.

About You

You are caring, dependable and enjoy working with older people. You have excellent driving skills, a professional approach and strong customer service abilities.

Essential

• Current unrestricted South Australian Driver's Licence
• Demonstrated safe driving record
• Current First Aid Certificate
• Current National Police Check
• Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
• Ability to operate mobile phones and basic technology systems
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Reliable and punctual with a strong commitment to safety

Desirable

• Previous experience driving a mini bus or passenger vehicle
• Previous experience in aged care, community services or disability services
• Experience transporting clients or consumers
• Good knowledge of metropolitan Adelaide roads and suburbs
• Italian language skills highly regarded
