Job summary

Lake Macquarie City Council in Newcastle NSW is seeking a Customer Liaison and Lodgement Officer (Building) to enhance customer experiences and support the delivery of building and development services across the City.

As the first point of contact for applicants navigating the lodgement process, you will assess and process development-related applications for lodgement acceptance, provide guidance on requirements, and assist customers throughout the assessment journey, partnering with Building

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Business Administration or equivalent
• High-quality administrative support experience
• Experience reviewing and processing applications per policy
• Experience processing online applications via digital platforms
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and business systems

Responsibilities

• Reviewing and processing a broad range of building and development-related applications for lodgement acceptance
• Providing advice and support to customers regarding application requirements and lodgement processes
• Managing customer enquiries and service requests in a timely and professional manner
• Supporting Council's commitment to improved assessment timeframes and customer outcomes
• Working collaboratively with internal teams, applicants and industry stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes
