Job summary

Design & Build Recruitment is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead remedial construction projects in Sydney, managing up to $12M scopes with a hands-on, collaborative team ethos.

You will read architectural and structural drawings, coordinate trades, ensure safety, quality and on-time delivery, and report to senior management.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver remedial construction projects up to $12M from planning through to completion.
• Read and interpret architectural and structural drawings, assess buildability and sequence remedial works accordingly.
• Procure materials and subcontractors (balconies, glazing, waterproofing, tiling, paving, concrete repairs, etc).
• Schedule, coordinate and supervise all trades and subcontractors to meet project milestones.
• Foresee and plan works ahead by 2-3 weeks, anticipating ordering, resource allocation and site requirements.
• Maintain quality, safety and compliance in accordance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
• Provide clear reporting and communication to senior management, stakeholders and clients.
• Manage a small project team - ensuring productivity, workmanship standards and timely delivery.

A well-established, Tier 2 construction and remedial contractor is experiencing strong, consistent growth across Sydney and seeking a Senior Project Manager to join their business. With around 40 staff and a supportive, down-to-earth culture, the company is known for work-life balance, professional integrity, and long-term client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver remedial construction projects to the value of $12M from planning through to completion.
• Read and interpret architectural and structural drawings, assess buildability and sequence remedial works accordingly.
• Procure materials and subcontractors (balconies, glazing, waterproofing, tiling, paving, concrete repairs, etc).
• Schedule, coordinate and supervise all trades and subcontractors to meet project milestones.

About You / Requirements

• Proven experience as a Project Manager in construction (remedial experience ideal but not essential).
• Strong technical understanding of building systems, remedial solutions, waterproofing, and structural works.
• Ability to read and interpret complex drawings and translate them into practical delivery.
• Excellent planning, organisational, and sequencing capability.
• Strong people skills with the ability to influence, lead, and manage stakeholders.
• Solid financial acumen for budgeting and cost control.
• Safety-driven mindset, with experience managing live environments.
• Confident communicator with strong written reporting skills.
