Qualifications

• Proficiency with MS Office suite.
• Familiarity with Australian Standards and NCC isexpected in planning and QA.
• Strong time management, planning and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, scheduling, and coordination of works in alignment with project scope and program.
• Support technical coordination of construction activities, ensuring compliance with design and quality standards.
• Foster a culture of QA among employees, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
• Identify and address defects or non-conforming works promptly.
• Facilitate closure of CARs and NCRs as identified during audits.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities, consultants, and stakeholders regarding QA matters.
• Managing material and contractor tenders
• Preparation of tender packages
• Assisting in time, quality and cost control
• Managing and processing progress claims and invoices
• Assist in financial programming and budgets

Position Overview

The Building Cadet / Site Engineer (SE) will play a vital role in supporting the the project delivery team to ensure effective and efficient project execution. This position is a mixture of both on site and Office based, where you will assist in various tasks related to planning, quality assurance, and coordination of construction works.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, scheduling, and coordination of works in alignment with project scope and program.
• Support technical coordination of construction activities, ensuring compliance with design and quality standards.
• Foster a culture of quality assurance (QA) among employees, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
• Identify and address defects or non-conforming works promptly.
• Facilitate closure of Corrective Action Requests (CARs) and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) as identified during audits.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities, consultants, and stakeholders regarding quality assurance matters.
• Managing material and contractor tenders
• Preparation of tender packages
• Assisting in time, quality and cost control
• Managing and processing progress claims and invoices
• Assist in financial programming and budgets

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in construction principles and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. You should possess excellent communication skills and a keen attention to detail, with a desire to contribute to the successful delivery of high-quality projects.

• Minimum 1 years' experience in the commercial / Residential construction industry.
• Proficiency in MS Office suite and familiarity with Australian Standards and the National Construction Code (NCC).
• Strong time management, planning, and organizational skills.

Preferred candidates may have a background in carpentry, which can provide valuable insights into project execution and quality assurance processes.
