BESIX Watpac in Cairns is seeking a Building Cadet or Graduate to support the North Queensland construction team. You will assist with preparing contract documents, support tendering, and handle general site administration.

The role suits those currently studying Construction Management or Engineering, with strong communication and the ability to work autonomously on project tasks. A pathway for long-term development is offered with competitive remuneration and benefits.

Qualifications

• Currently studying Construction Management or Engineering (or similar).
• Ability to communicate and build effective relationships at all levels of the project.
• Demonstrated ability to operate autonomously using initiative, sound reasoning, and decision-making skills.

Responsabilités

• Assist with the trade package tendering process including compilation and approval of tender documents and proposed tender list, issue of documents, receipt of tenders, comparison of tenders and submission of tender recommendation for approval.
• Assist with general administration of trade packages following award including progress payments, variations and final accounts.
• Compilation and control of project documents including maintenance of a control register. Ensure prompt issue of documentation to the respective parties.
• Assist with general project administration as required.

Job Description

BESIX Watpac has an exciting opportunity for a Building Cadet or Graduate to join our highly successful North QLD construction team in Cairns. In this role, you will assist with preparing contract documents, support the tendering process and carry out general site administration duties.

• Assist with the trade package tendering process including compilation and approval of tender documents and proposed tender list, issue of documents, receipt of tenders, comparison of tenders and submission of tender recommendation for approval.
• Assist with general administration of trade packages following award including progress payments, variations and final accounts.
• Compilation and control of project documents including maintenance of a control register. Ensure prompt issue of documentation to the respective parties.
• Assist with general project administration as required.

Qualifications

The incumbent in this role will require the following qualifications and experience

• Currently studying Construction Management, Engineering, or similar qualification.
