Job summary

Green by Nature is seeking a dedicated groundskeeper to maintain and enhance green spaces across council assets. Based at our Plenty depot, you will perform brushcutting, light horticulture and herbicide work, operating a range of equipment safely.

This permanent full-time role offers Monday to Friday shifts with early finish on Fridays, and PPE and uniform provided. Join a collaborative outdoor team and contribute to high-standard open spaces.

Qualifications

• Experience in landscaping or gardening is preferred.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
• Valid Manual Drivers license.
• National Police Check & Working with Children\'s Check (or willingness to obtain).
• Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work effectively in a team.

About Role

As a member of the Brushcutting team, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing green spaces across the Nillumbik Shire Council, working onvarious commercial sites or council-controlled roadsides and open spaces.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, has a keen eye for detail, and takes pride in their work.

• Servicing of council parkland and roadside assets across Nillumbik Shire Council
• Role will include brushcutting, some herbicide application and light horticulture work
• Operate various equipment safely and efficiently.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on equipment.

About You

• Previous experience in landscaping, gardening, or a related field will be looked upon favourably.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, bend, squat, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
• Must have a valid Manual Drivers licence
• Have a National Police Check & Working with Children's Check (or willing to obtain)
• Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and the sun.
• Strong work ethic and commitment to completing tasks efficiently and to the highest standards.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
