Job summary

Westhaven is seeking a dedicated Support Worker in Broken Hill to help adults with disabilities live life on their own terms. You’ll provide personal care, assist with daily living skills, and support clients in the community across a 24/7 roster (including mornings, evenings, weekends, and sleepovers).

We offer strong earning potential with base hourly rates from $36.22 to $39.53 plus casual and shift loadings, plus 12% super.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid NSW Driver’s Licence.
• First Aid & CPR certification is required.
• A paid Working with Children Check (WWCC) is required.
• NDIS Worker Check is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support with daily living skills.
• Engage clients in community activities and appointments in Broken Hill.
• Support independence and skill development for clients.
• Complete daily case notes, incident reports and administrative tasks.

A Day in the Life

• Supporting clients with personal care and daily living skills.
• Getting out into the Broken Hill community; planning and attending social activities, hobbies, and appointments.
• Helping clients build independence and develop new skills.
• Completing daily case notes, incident reports, and administrative tasks.

What you need to bring:

• A current NSW Driver’s Licence and a willingness to drive.
• A valid First Aid & CPR Certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
• A paid Working with Children Check (WWCC).
• A National Disability Insurance Scheme Workers Check (NDISWC).
• Flexibility to work across a 24/7 roster (including mornings, evenings, weekends, and sleepover shifts).
