Astral Foods Ltd is seeking a hands-on Farm Supervisor to assist the Farm Manager in daily operations across multiple broiler houses in Victoria. The role emphasizes livestock welfare, strict biosecurity, and adherence to regulations.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, monitoring bird health and performance, managing ventilation and climate controls, and maintaining thorough records. Flexible hours and weekend shifts are required. Relocation support may be available.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent required.
• Agricultural diploma or poultry certificate preferred.
• 2–4 years broiler production experience.
• Strong leadership and team-building abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Valid driving licence.
• Pro-active problem-solving and adaptability.

Responsibilities

• Support Farm Manager in daily operations across broiler houses.
• Monitor bird health, welfare, and performance.
• Maintain strict biosecurity and animal welfare standards.
• Supervise and assist farm staff, giving guidance and support.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and industry regulations.
• Record daily bird health, mortality, feed and water data.
