Job summary

BAI Communications is recruiting a NOC Operator to join our 24/7 Service Management Centre in North Sydney. You’ll monitor broadcast services across Australia, respond to alarms, manage incidents end-to-end, and communicate clearly with internal teams and customers to uphold service levels.

You’ll bring experience in broadcast or network operations, alarm interpretation, and ITIL-aligned incident handling, with a focus on accuracy, accountability and collaborative problem solving on live

Qualifications

• Broadcast, telecommunications or network operations experience.
• Experience reading and interpreting alarms from management systems.
• Familiarity with ITIL-based incident and change practices.
• Ability to document incidents clearly and accurately.
• Willingness to work a 24/7 rotating roster.
• Criminal history check requirement.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and triage alarms from broadcast management systems.
• Remotely resolve incidents affecting services where possible.
• Analyze events to identify root causes.
• Record incident details, impacts and actions.
• Communicate with internal teams and customers via phone/email.
• Manage incident communications, escalations and updates per OLAs/SLAs.
• Support NOTAM, change requests, site access and service transfers.
• Perform daily audits to maintain data quality and assurance.
• Assist with maintenance at transmission sites.

Education

Tertiary qualification in network engineering or related field
