Job summary

Thermo Fisher Scientific Australia is seeking a QC Scientist – Physiochemistry & Raw Material at our Brisbane site. You will provide technical expertise across physiochemistry and raw material QC, ensuring testing and releases comply with GMP, approved procedures and specifications.

The role collaborates with Supply Chain, Quality and Manufacturing, supporting GMP, QA systems and continuous improvement initiatives across site operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology, Chemistry, or closely related field.
• Post Graduate qualifications – beneficial.
• At least 2 years’ experience in biopharmaceutical/pharmaceutical Analytical and Quality Control fields.

Responsibilities

• Perform raw material sampling, testing and release per GMP.
• Apply physiochemistry testing techniques and laboratory instrumentation (pH, conductivity, osmolality, TOC).
• Interpret analytical results against procedures and specifications with scientific rationale.
• Maintain test records per QA system and ALCOA+ data integrity.
• Support Quality System activities, CAPA, OOS/OOT, Deviations and change control.
