Job summary

Constant Contact is seeking an Engineering Manager to anchor our Australian software development team in Brisbane. This senior role combines mentorship with hands-on technical leadership, applying Domain-Driven Design and agile practices to deliver high-impact SaaS initiatives.

You'll bridge global strategy and local execution, coordinate with product, sales, and marketing, and balance system stability with innovation in a hybrid Australia-based environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience leading development teams in a SaaS environment.
• Self-starter with strong software development tools & processes.
• Experience in Agile team environments and accountability to milestones/outcomes.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Troubleshooting skills and creative problem-solving ability.
• Experience applying Domain-Driven Design (DDD) to modular, scalable SaaS architectures.
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Strong cloud computing (AWS) and networking fundamentals.
• Knowledge of information security requirements and compliance (ISO 27001, SOC 2) in SaaS.
• Comfortable working with international teams.

Responsibilities

• Drive Agile principles and a high-performing team.
• Balance people management with technical delivery and strategic priorities.
• Ensure platform compliance and certifications.
• Oversee system architecture, virtualization, networking, and QA environments.
• Collaborate with BA/Scrum Master on project specs and delivery.
• Lead security practices, ISMS, and test programs.
• Oversee upgrades to tech stack and dev infra.
• Provide strategic input across the company.
