Job summary

Life Without Barriers is seeking an Aged Care Home & Community Assistant to deliver personalised in-home care to older Australians in Brisbane. You will travel between clients’ homes in the Brisbane area, providing domestic, personal care and daily living support with flexibility to balance work and family commitments.

The role offers two permanent part-time positions, 20 hours per fortnight, with Monday–Friday shifts and no evenings or overnights.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and empathy for older adults.
• Ability to travel between client homes across Brisbane.
• Current Australian Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Domestic assistance including light cleaning and meal preparation.
• Personal care such as showering and daily hygiene.
• Transport to medical appointments and social activities for clients.
• Provide support with daily tasks and routines and establish positive relationships with clients and families.

Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing)
