Job summary

The Country Fire Authority (CFA) seeks a Brigade Administrative Support Officer in District 24, Wodonga. This full-time fixed-term role provides high-level customer service and admin support to brigades, volunteers and the community, aligned with CFA's strategic goals and with after-hours flexibility.

You will handle records, data entry, privacy, support recruitment and brigade activities, and assist with incident management readiness.

Qualifications

  • Experience and understanding of working within a volunteer environment.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and experience in modern administrative and information management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Be prepared to participate in Incident Management support roles appropriate to experience and qualifications.
  • Flexibility to after-hours work and some travel from Wodonga (vehicle provided).

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day administrative support to Brigade Management Teams.
  • Handle private and sensitive information in line with privacy requirements.
  • Support recruitment, retention, and general operations for brigades under the EBA.
  • Coordinate asset purchases, grants, fleet management and logistics for brigades.
  • Assist with brigade meetings, events and training, including after hours.
  • Help brigades access fire safety publications and participate in Community Safety events.
