Job summary

Stone Mason Company on the Gold Coast is seeking an experienced Bridge Saw Operator to cut stone to precise specifications. You will handle engineered and natural stone, read plans and cutting lists, and work with the production team to meet schedules in a modern factory.

Ideal candidates have strong measuring skills, a safety-first mindset, and the ability to work reliably as part of a team. A White Card is required; forklift licence is a bonus.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating a bridge saw within the stone masonry industry.
• Experience working with stone benchtops and related products.
• Strong measuring skills and excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to read plans and cutting information accurately.
• Good understanding of stone fabrication and production processes.
• A strong focus on safety and quality.
• Reliability and the ability to work as part of a team.
• Current White Card.
• Forklift licence would be advantageous but is not essential.

BRIDGE SAW OPERATOR - STONE MASON COMPANY - GOLD COAST

About the role

This is a hands-on production role suited to someone with experience cutting and processing stone and who takes pride in accuracy, efficiency and quality workmanship. Your duties will include operating a bridge saw to cut stone accurately to job specifications, cutting and processing engineered stone, natural stone, porcelain and other stone products, reading and interpreting plans, cutting lists and job specifications, measuring and checking dimensions before and after cutting, setting up jobs and ensuring cuts are completed accurately and efficiently, handling stone safely throughout the cutting and production process, carrying out general machinery checks and maintaining a clean and safe work area, working closely with the factory and production team to meet job schedules, and following all workplace health and safety requirements, including silica control procedures.
