Job summary

Sydney Stone Manufacturer in Sydney is seeking an experienced Stonemason/Stone Fabricator to join a busy production team. You will fabricate natural and engineered stone for benchtops, following 100% wet-processing methods and delivering high-quality finishes.

The role is full-time and long-term, starting immediately with overtime and Saturday work available. Applicants in Australia or visa-holders are welcome to apply and should include visa status and relevant experience.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' relevant industry experience preferred.
• Demonstrated background in stonemasonry and stone fabrication.
• Has worked with natural as well as manufactured stone.
• Able to read and interpret plans and drawings.
• Delivers high-quality finishes consistently.
• Holds a current driver's licence and a White Card (or is willing to obtain one).
• A forklift licence is desirable and advantageous but not essential.
• Physically capable of performing the role's requirements.

• Fabricating kitchen benchtops from natural stone.
• Fabricating engineered stone for benchtops and other applications.
• Cutting and shaping slabs.
• Polishing and finishing stone surfaces.
• Laminating and mitring edges.
• Delivering high-quality mitred joins and finished edges.
• Working from plans, drawings and measurements.
• Staying accurate and efficient in a busy production setting while keeping workmanship and detail to a high standard.
• Following the company's systems and workplace health and safety procedures.

Job description

An established Sydney stone manufacturer needs an experienced Stonemason / Stone Fabricator for its busy production team. The employer fabricates natural and engineered stone for kitchen benchtops and other applications, uses 100% wet-processing, water-fed methods only, and wants a tradesperson who is proud of high-quality results.

The role is full-time, permanent and long term, starting immediately. The working week runs 7:30am to 5:00pm Monday to Thursday and 7:30am to 4:00pm Friday, and overtime and Saturday work are available.
