Job summary
Workfast is seeking experienced Carpenters to join a major transport infrastructure project based at Waratah NSW. The role involves bridge construction and maintenance work within a structured four-day roster and 9.5-hour days, with Fridays off.
You will carry out carpentry tasks, formwork, falsework, concreting, and steel tying, ensuring safety and quality on site. Candidates should have Certificate III in Carpentry and a Working at Heights ticket, with a willingness to travel for the six-month
Qualifications
- Certificate III in Carpentry is required.
- Working at Heights ticket is required.
- Experience in bridge construction or maintenance.
- Experience with formwork, falsework, concreting and steel tying.
- Commitment to health and safety on site.
- Ability to work in demanding site conditions and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel/stay away from home for project duration.
Responsibilities
- Carry out carpentry work associated with bridge construction and maintenance.
- Install and work with formwork and falsework.
- Assist with concreting activities and concrete finishing.
- Complete steel tying and reinforcement work.
- Support general construction and maintenance activities as required.
- Follow site drawings, specifications and instructions.
- Maintain a safe and tidy work environment.
- Comply with all site safety procedures and requirements.
