Job summary

Transport for NSW in Wagga Wagga is offering a 3-year fixed‑term full‑time Bridge Construction and Maintenance Apprenticeship starting March 2027. Earn while you learn with paid work and structured training to develop practical, in‑demand skills for a career in civil construction.

You’ll gain hands‑on experience, work toward a nationally recognised qualification (Certificate III in Civil Construction), and join a program designed for individuals beginning their career journey with strong support

Qualifications

Must be Australian citizen or permanent resident.
Completed Year 10 or RoSA or equivalent.
Willing to commence full‑time employment in March 2027.
Hold or be in the process of obtaining a C Class driver licence.
Have access to reliable transport to travel to the office or depot.
Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, or near live traffic.
Willing to travel as part of the role.
Basic computer literacy skills.
Demonstrate teamwork and maintain a positive, accountable approach.

Responsibilities

Gain hands‑on experience in civil construction and apply what you learn.
Participate in structured in‑person classes at TAFE for the Certificate III in Civil Construction.
Develop communication, teamwork, and problem‑solving skills on the job.
