Job summary

Transport for NSW invites applicants to begin an Apprenticeship in Bridge Construction and Maintenance in Wagga Wagga, NSW. Over three years, you will earn a wage while completing a Certificate III in Civil Construction through structured in-person classes at TAFE.

You will gain practical, on-the-job experience and develop communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills, with clear career pathways and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Australian or New Zealand citizen, or Australian permanent resident.
• Completed Year 10 or RoSA or equivalent.
• Ready to commence full-time employment in March 2027.
• Hold, or be in the process of obtaining, a C Class driver licence.
• Access to reliable transport to travel to the office or depot.
• Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, or near live traffic as required.
• Willing to travel as part of the role.
• Basic computer literacy; teamwork and a positive, accountable approach.
• Good time management and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Earn while you learn, combining paid work with structured training to develop practical skills for a civil construction career.
• Gain hands-on experience and progress toward a nationally recognised qualification with no prior experience required.
• Join the Bridge Construction & Maintenance Apprenticeship program based in Wagga Wagga, commencing March 2027.
