Oaks Cypress Lakes Resort and Elysia Wellness Retreat are looking for a passionate and reliable Commis Chef – Breakfast to join our kitchen team on a casual basis. You will support the smooth operation of the breakfast service, preparing high-quality dishes and delivering an exceptional dining experience for guests.

Key duties include opening preparation, station setup, maintaining food safety and kitchen hygiene, developing menu items, communicating between Front and Back of House, training

Qualifications

Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent) required.
Understanding of HACCP, OH&S and kitchen hygiene standards.
Prior experience in hotels or high-volume settings is preferred.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities are essential.
Flexible weekend availability and reliable transport required.

Responsibilities

Prepare and deliver a high-quality breakfast service.
Handle opening preparation and station setup.
Maintain food safety, hygiene and cleanliness standards.
Assist in developing menu items and recipes.
Maintain communication between Front and Back of House.
Support training and supervision of junior kitchen staff.
