Job summary

Accor Apartments & Realty in Canberra is seeking a Breakfast Chef to lead the morning service, crafting breakfast dishes that energize guests and meet property standards. You will follow HACCP guidelines and help maintain quality throughout the kitchen team.

Receive ongoing guidance from senior chefs and contribute to a fast-paced, customer-focused breakfast service. A recognised culinary background and a commercial cookery certificate are preferred, with availability for early starts.

Qualifications

• Recognised culinary training and employment experience.
• Commercial cookery certification and preferably, safe food handling certificate or food safety supervisor.
• Open to feedback and willing to experiment with new ideas.
• Thriving in a fast-paced team environment is key.
• The ability to communicate in a clear and articulate manner.
• Reliable transport and available for early morning starts and assist across a range of shifts including weekends and public holidays as required.

As the Breakfast Chef, you play a crucial part in ensuring our guests enjoy the most important meal of the day! When they wake up, they can count on you to create delicious breakfasts that provide them with the energy they need to kick-start their day.

• Ensuring that food presented to guests aligns with property standards and is served within designated timeframes, whilst maintaining high quality and presentation
• Stay diligent in adhering to local regulations related to health, safety, and compliance, with a solid grasp of HACCP management
• Ensure accuracy, consistency, and efficiency in preparing food items
• Receive ongoing training and guidance from senior chefs
• Handle a range of kitchen tasks, from dishwashing to crafting delectable dishes

Skills & Experience

• The possession of recognised culinary training and employment experience
• A commercial cookery certification and preferably, you will have obtained safe food handling certificate or food safety supervisor
• Being open to feedback and willing to experiment with new ideas is a big plus
• Thriving in a fast-paced team environment is key
