Job summary

Mid-Western Regional Council in Mudgee is hiring a Kitchen Hand to support operation of a brand-new commercial kitchen within the MTTV. Work alongside the Head Chef handling food prep, service and hygiene for elite sporting teams, schools, corporate groups and community guests.

The role is casual, on-site, with hours based on guest and event needs, including early mornings, days, evenings and weekends. A supportive team and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Current NSW Food Safety Handling Certificate.
• Current Class C Driver Licence.
• Relevant commercial kitchen experience, including food preparation, service and food safety.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with food preparation and basic meal assembly.
• Supporting buffet setup and meal service.
• Replenishing food during service.
• Dishwashing and cleaning kitchen facilities and equipment.
• Receiving, storing and rotating stock.
• Maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene and organisation.
• Providing friendly and professional service to guests.
• Supporting the catering team wherever needed.
