Job summary

Neumann Steel Pty Ltd in Capalaba, Queensland, is seeking an experienced Branch Manager to lead the day-to-day sales and operations of the service centre. You will provide strong leadership to branch staff and ensure a high standard of customer service, safety, and efficiency.

The role requires managing stock, production planning, budgets, and P&L oversight, with a focus on cost control and relationship management with customers and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading a team to deliver high levels of customer service.
• Experience managing a high volume of stock.
• High level of verbal and written communication skills.
• High level of proficiency in managing departmental budgets, revenue forecasting and financial reporting.
• Current Drivers Licence.

Quick overview of the role

We are currently seeking an experienced Branch Manager to join the team at Capalaba in a full-time capacity. The role is responsible for the management of the day-to-day sales and operations of the service centre. Providing leadership to branch employees to foster a safe, efficient working environment that provides a professional, high-quality level of customer service.

What will you be doing?

• Managing the day-to-day sales and operations of the service centre.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers and supplier.
• Oversee production and logistics planning to optimise efficiency and reduce costs.
• Ensure security, maintenance, safe operation, and professional image of all branch assets including inventory, buildings, showrooms, warehouses, vehicles, and equipment.
• Facilitate human resource management to maintain staff rosters, weekly time management, leave requests and performance coaching as required.
• Manage all workplace incidents, work injuries, and illnesses and ensure actions are effective and followed up to prevent reoccurrence.
• Conduct regular team meetings, inductions, and interviews to ensure labour resource match operational demand.
• Monitor monthly Profit and Loss (P&L) Reports and report variances against set budgets.
• Manage external local transport providers to ensure transport operations comply with safe work procedures and Chain of Responsibility legislation.
• Oversee the management of all workplace incidents, work injuries, and illnesses for the team and effectively follow up to ensure remedial actions are in place and injuries are correctly managed from rehabilitation through to clearance for full duties in collaboration with the HSEQ team.
• Seek opportunities for improvements in processes, take ownership of ideas and manage through to implementation where applicable.
• Ensure stock is well managed including safe and orderly storage of goods and materials, accurate and timely receipting, provision of regular stock takes, and submission of detailed variance reports as necessary.

• Strong leadership acumen with a thorough understanding of Human Resource best practises.
• Current Drivers Licence.
• Pronto MRP experience highly regarded.
• Overhead Crane experience advantageous.
