Job summary

Neumann Steel Pty Ltd is seeking an Operator / Storeperson to support both production and warehouse activities on the Gold Coast. You will perform pre-start checks, operate plant and machinery, and manage stock while ensuring safe, accurate handling of materials.

The role requires a strong safety mindset, the ability to work independently or with a team, and a commitment to maintaining inventory integrity and efficient site operations.

Qualifications

• High Risk Work Licence - Forklift required.
• Current Driver’s Licence.
• High Risk Work Licence - Dogman is advantageous.
• Experience operating overhead gantry cranes is advantageous.
• Physically fit with the ability to lift and handle materials.
• Good literacy and numeracy skills.
• Previous warehousing or distribution experience advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-start checks on plant, machinery and equipment.
• Operate machinery safely per company procedures.
• Produce goods to required specifications.
• Pick and pack sales orders and internal stock transfers.
• Safely load and unload vehicles per Safe Loading Guidelines and legal standards.
• Check and receipting incoming goods accurately.
• Process stock returns and complete required documentation.
• Undertake regular stock takes and maintain inventory records.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards in operations and warehouse areas.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues to support a safe, productive site.

Quick Overview Of The Role

The Operator / Storeperson supports both operational and warehouse functions to ensure efficient production, safe material handling, and effective inventory management.

What will you be doing?

• Conducting pre-start checks on plant, machinery, and equipment prior to use.
• Operating machinery, plant, and equipment safely and in accordance with company procedures.
• Producing manufactured goods in line with required specifications.
• Picking and packing sales orders and internal stock transfer requests.
• Safely loading and unloading vehicles in accordance with Safe Loading Guidelines and Chain of Responsibility legislation.
• Checking and receipting incoming goods in an accurate and timely manner.
• Processing stock returns and completing required documentation.
• Undertaking regular stock takes and maintaining accurate inventory records.
• Maintaining high standards of housekeeping across operational and warehouse areas.
• Communicating effectively with colleagues to support a safe, productive, and efficient worksite.
