National Retail Group is seeking a proactive Bookkeeper / Finance Officer to join our growing team in Cremorne, Melbourne. Reporting to the Finance Manager, this hands-on role covers day-to-day finance operations across accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, reporting support and audit preparation.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Bookkeeper, Finance Officer, Assistant Accountant or similar finance role
• Experience using Xero or similar cloud-based accounting software
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
• Perform bank reconciliations and resolve reconciling items
• Assist with monthly management reporting and month-end processes
• Prepare supporting documentation for annual audits and auditor queries
• Liaise with external accountants and other finance stakeholders
• Maintain financial spreadsheets and reporting templates
• Support the Finance Manager with various finance and administration tasks
• Assist in maintaining accurate financial records across multiple entities
