Job summary

Strategic Lawyers Pty is seeking an Experienced Finance Officer / Bookkeeper in Townsville to manage trust accounting, invoicing, AR follow-ups, and financial reporting. The role leverages Xero and Excel for daily tasks, including bank reconciliations and BAS submissions.

The successful candidate will be experienced in cloud-based accounting, payroll processing in Xero, and working within a collaborative team to meet deadlines and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience as a bookkeeper or finance officer/manager.
• Familiar with Xero or similar cloud-based software.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to work with a team to meet financial deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Handle trust accounting tasks and stay compliant with regulatory requirements.
• Manage accounts receivable including invoicing and overdue follow-ups.
• Track income using Excel and Xero.
• Perform bank reconciliations for Trust and General accounts.
• Complete BAS reporting.
