Responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices and payments with checks on pricing and approvals.

• Assist with month-end and year-end processes.
• Prepare GST/BAS and other statutory information.
• Prepare monthly cash-flow forecasts.
• Maintain stock-take and stock reporting.
• Provide payroll and STP backup support.
• Support payroll and HR administration.
• Assist with overseas supplier payments and shipment-related finance activities.
• Provide general finance and administrative support to CFO and management.

Experienced Bookkeeper / Finance Officer — broad and varied role

Bambi Enterprises is an established Australian wholesaler and manufacturer of premium bedding products, supplying retailers throughout Australia and New Zealand.

We are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper / Finance Officer to join our Finance team at West Gosford.

Reporting directly to the CFO, this is a broad, hands‑on role covering a range of accounting and finance activities. We are looking for someone who takes ownership of their responsibilities and has the experience, accuracy and judgement to become an important member of our Finance team.

Key responsibilities

• Processing supplier invoices and payments, including checking pricing and approvals
• Preparing and reconciling accruals, provisions and prepayments
• Assisting with month-end and financial year-end processes
• Preparing GST/BAS and other statutory information
• Preparing monthly cash-flow forecasts
• Maintaining and reviewing stock-take and stock reporting
• Providing backup support for weekly and monthly payroll and STP
• Supporting payroll and HR administration
• Assisting with overseas supplier payments and shipment-related finance activities
• Providing general finance and administrative support to the CFO and management

About you

You will ideally have:

• Minimum 3 years' bookkeeping and payroll experience
• Experience with Attaché or an equivalent ERP/accounting system
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel and Word skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong organisational and time-management skills
• The ability to prioritise and manage competing deadlines
• A practical, energetic and "can-do" attitude
• The confidence to investigate discrepancies and ensure financial information and invoices are correct
• The ability to work harmoniously as part of a small team
• A bookkeeping/accounting qualification would be desirable
