Job summary

HR Partners is seeking an experienced Fabrication/Welding specialist to support maritime projects in a dynamic workshop environment. You will perform welding and boiler fabrication, reading shop drawings, and welding ferrous and nonferrous materials for commercial and defence-related vessels.

Requirements include a Trade certificate in Fabrication / Engineering, Working at Heights, White Card induction, and Confined Spaces training.

Job description

This is a unique opportunity to work on critical maritime projects, contributing to the maintenance and sustainment of both commercial and Royal Australian Navy vessels. The role involves a diverse range of fabrication, welding, and repair tasks in a dynamic and challenging environment.

Your role will involve the following, but not limited to;

• Welding and Boiler fabrication
• Read and interpret shop drawings
• GMAW, GTAW and SMAW welding process
• Weld all types of metal, ferrous and nonferrous
• Working in confined spaces and on elevated work platform equipment

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

You will be required to pass an Australian Federal Police Check and be eligible for a Defence Security Clearance.
Due to security clearance requirements, you must be an Australian Citizen. We are unable to accept applications from Permanant Residents or any Visa holders.
