Job summary

TRS Engineering in Brisbane requires a qualified welder with Fluxcore experience to weld steel components in all positions. You will interpret drawings, maintain safety, and work as part of a team with overtime opportunities.

Immediate start for candidates with a Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication/Boilermaking and Welding; site work and Adflo helmet preferred, forklift and drivers licence advantageous. Uniform and PPE provided.

Qualifications

• Fluxcore welding experience required.
• Ability to interpret and understand engineering drawings.
• Able to work as part of a team and maintain workshop safety.
• Overtime opportunities and uniform/PPE provided.

Responsibilities

• Weld steel components in all positions to specifications.
• Weld components in sequence to minimise distortion.
• Prepare and feather back tack welds; clean as required.
• Potential site work, hot works and fit outs on site.

Cert 3 in Engineering – Fabrication / Boilermaking and Welding.

Able to interpret and understand engineering drawings and instructions.

Able to work as a part of a team.

Skills and experience

Fluxcore welding experience required.

Ability to pass a pre start weld test.

Perform welding of steel components in all positions.

Weld components in sequence to eliminate distortion and shrinkage.

Feather back tack welds, clean and prep where required.

Potential for sitework, hot works and fit outs on site.

Adflo Welding helmet is preferred (speedglas).

Forklift licence is preferred.

Must hold current drivers licence and a vehicle.

Must supply current resume with two contactable work references.
