Job summary

CrewSELECT Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Trade Qualified Boilermaker/Welder to join a leading engineering and manufacturing company that specialises in pressure equipment, pipework and skid fabrication for the industrial, mining and oil & gas sectors. This is an in-demand, full-time workshop role based in Acacia Ridge with a strong safety culture and teamwork.

You will fabricate, weld, assemble and test pressure equipment and fabricated products, ensuring compliance with Australian Standards

Qualifications

• Trade-qualified Boilermaker/Welder with proven welding experience.
• Experience with MIG, TIG and MMAW welding processes.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and fabrication plans.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate skid frames, pressure vessels and pipe spools to specification.
• Perform MIG (GMAW/FCAW), TIG (GTAW) and MMAW welding.
• Read and interpret drawings, conduct hydrostatic testing and ensure quality documentation.
• Operate workshop machinery and assist with site installations when required.

Job description

CrewSELECT is seeking an experienced Trade Qualified Boilermaker/Welder to join a leading engineering and manufacturing company specialising in pressure equipment, pipework and skid fabrication for the industrial, mining and oil & gas sectors.

About the Role

You will be responsible for the fabrication, welding, assembly and testing of pressure equipment and fabricated products while ensuring all work complies with Australian Standards and company quality requirements.

• Mon-Thurs 6am to 4.30pm - (10hrs)
• Fri 6am to 12pm - (6hrs), can do 8hrs when thing really crank up.
• Saturday 6am to 12pm - (6hrs)

Key Responsibilities

• Fabricate skid frames, pressure vessels and pipe spools to specification
• Perform MIG (GMAW/FCAW), TIG (GTAW) and MMAW welding
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and fabrication plans
• Conduct hydrostatic testing, inspections and quality documentation
• Operate workshop machinery and assist with occasional site installations

Skills & Experience

• Certificate III in Engineering Fabrication (Boilermaker/Welder)
• Strong experience with MIG, TIG and MMAW welding processes
• Previous GP/SP welding experience within manufacturing, mining or oil & gas
• Ability to fabricate from engineering drawings with exceptional attention to detail
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic and commitment to safety

Essential Requirements

• Trade Qualified Boilermaker/Welder
• Ability to pass DN50 6G GTAW and DN150 1G GMAW/FCAW weld tests
• Queensland Forklift Licence (or ability to obtain)
• Physically fit with full Australian working rights
• Strong understanding of quality systems and safe work practices

• Experience fabricating pressure vessels and process piping
• Oil & Gas industry experience
• Experience manufacturing jigs and fixtures
• Machining and workshop equipment experience
• Own tools
