Cheps Laser is seeking a highly skilled Boilermaker / Fabricator to join our on-site team in Queensland. You will work on diverse fabrication projects including 4x4 accessories, bullbars, earthmoving components and laser-cut assemblies using aluminium, stainless steel and mild steel.

You’ll weld TIG and MIG, fabricate from laser-cut parts, read drawings, and blend welds to a seamless surface ready for powder coating. A pride-in-work and attention to detail are essential.

Formación

• Qualified Boilermaker / Fabricator with strong fabrication skills.
• Produces clean, high-quality welds.
• Reads drawings and dimensions accurately.

Boilermaker / Fabricator – TIG Welding - Laser Welding

Cheps Laser is growing, and we’re looking for a highly skilled Boilermaker / Fabricator to join our team.

This isn’t a production-line welding job.

You’ll be working across a wide variety of fabrication projects including 4x4 accessories & bullbars, earthmoving equipment components, laser-cut sheet metal assemblies and custom fabrication work using aluminium, stainless steel and mild steel.

We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work, can produce a high-quality finish and wants to continue developing their skills.

What you’ll be doing

• TIG welding aluminium and stainless steel

• MIG welding and general fabrication

• Fabricating from laser-cut and folded components

• Building bullbars and 4x4 accessories

• Fabricating earthmoving and industrial components

• Grinding, sanding and finishing welded assemblies

• Blending welds and surfaces to achieve a seamless finish ready for powder coating

• Reading drawings and working accurately to dimensions

• Completing one-off and small production fabrication jobs

• Maintaining a clean and organised workspace

What we’re looking for

You’ll ideally be a qualified Boilermaker / Fabricator with strong fabrication skills and excellent attention to detail.

• Is highly competent with TIG welding aluminium and stainless steel

• Produces clean, high-quality welds

• Understands how to finish and blend fabricated components properly

• Takes pride in workmanship
