Job summary

Cheps Laser is seeking a highly skilled Boilermaker / Fabricator to join our on-site team in Queensland. You will work on diverse fabrication projects including 4x4 accessories, bullbars, earthmoving components and laser-cut assemblies using aluminium, stainless steel and mild steel.

You’ll weld TIG and MIG, fabricate from laser-cut parts, read drawings, and blend welds to a seamless surface ready for powder coating. A pride-in-work and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified Boilermaker / Fabricator with strong fabrication skills.
• Produces clean, high-quality welds.
• Reads drawings and dimensions accurately.

Responsibilities

• TIG welding aluminium and stainless steel.
• MIG welding and general fabrication.
• Fabricating from laser-cut and folded components.
• Building bullbars and 4x4 accessories.
• Grinding, sanding and finishing welded assemblies.
• Blending welds to a seamless finish for powder coating.
• Reading drawings and working to dimensions.
• Completing one-off and small production jobs.
• Maintaining a clean, organized workspace.
