Job summary

Morson Edge is seeking skilled Boilermakers and Sheetmetal Fabricators to join a busy workshop in Newcastle, NSW. You’ll produce quality fabricated products, weld with MIG/TIG on stainless steel, mild steel and aluminium, and read mechanical drawings to tight specifications.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in metal fabrication or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience with MIG/TIG welding.
• Experience reading technical drawings.
• Experience with stainless steel fabrication.
• Ability to work to specifications.

Job description

We are currently seeking skilled Boilermakers and Sheetmetal Fabricators to join a busy and growing workshop. This is a fantastic opportunity for tradespeople with strong fabrication and welding experience who are looking for ongoing work, career progression and the potential to secure a permanent position. You’ll be working alongside an experienced team in a modern workshop environment, producing quality fabricated products to a high standard.

Responsibilties

• Fabricating, assembling and finishing metal products in line with engineering specifications.
• Carrying out MIG and TIG welding on stainless steel, mild steel and aluminium.
• Using workshop machinery and tools for cutting, grinding, shaping and forming metal.
• Reading and interpreting mechanical drawings.

About You

• Previous experience as a Boilermaker, Sheetmetal Worker or Fabricator.
• A relevant trade qualification, although suitable hands-on experience will also be considered.
• Proven welding capabilities (MIG and TIG).
• Experience working with stainless steel fabrication.
• The ability to understand technical drawings and work accurately to specifications.
